Connecticut Opera presents an afternoon of music by African American composers, spirituals, pieces from African American themed operas, and signature pieces from great 20th century African American opera singers. Hosted by Maestro Willie Anthony Waters, Artistic Director of Connecticut Opera, and Christopher Devlin, Music Director, the evening will feature Connecticut Opera’s award winning Education and Outreach ensemble, Opera Express. Connecticut Opera’s education and outreach program, Opera Express, performs Little Red Riding Hood for Family Day at the Opera at the Hartford Courant Arts Center, Studio 6.
